Elisee Junior St Preux

Elisee Junior St Preux is a Haitian storyteller born and raised in North Miami Beach, FL, who exploits his craft through Directing, Writing, and Acting. Elisee obtained a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology and a minor in Theatre at Florida Atlantic University. There, he crossed the Upsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Co-Ed Business Professional Fraternity, Inc.

Navigating his way as a self-taught filmmaker, Elisee studied diligently from various resources such as books, blogs, podcasts, newspapers, digital articles, and documentaries. Soon after, he created the film blog “The Movie Butter Playbook”, for cinema enthusiasts, as well as the screenwriting label, “À La MODE Films”, where all his filmography screenplays reside. Today, his work has premiered at prestigious film festivals such as Tribeca and Urbanworld. Elisee is a recipient of Indeed’s Rising Voices partnered with Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Productions, a 53rd NAACP Image Awards nominee, a Sundance Ignite Finalist, and an HBO Short Film Award Finalist at the American Black Film Festival.

With a distinct style of vintage storytelling combined with modern cinema, Elisee plans to make films he has yet to see on screen. Ultimately designing his content through explicit dreams, imagination, and a lively childhood, Elisee’s solemn goal is to bear witness and share stories that reflect today, honor the past, and re-imagine the future.
