Black Men’s Roundtable Screening & Community Discussion

SisterSong, BLD PWR, the Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival and the Morehouse College Black Men’s Research Institute will host a live screening and community dialogue at Morehouse College centered on their widely viewed Black Men’s Roundtable, an intergenerational conversation that has sparked significant engagement and debate across social media platforms. This roundtable examines the role of Black men in advancing Reproductive Justice, examines barriers to their involvement, and charts pathways toward deeper solidarity with Black women.

As Black History Month comes to a close, this gathering offers students and the broader Atlanta community a timely opportunity to witness Black men modeling vulnerability, accountability, and growth in real time. Through honest and necessary dialogue, the Roundtable explores how Black men can educate one another, confront harmful narratives, navigate emotional triggers, and build deeper solidarity with Black women and their communities.

More than a screening, the evening will invite reflection and discussion on what it looks like for Black men to show up with courage—for themselves, for Black women, and for the collective future of Black communities.

Confirmed participants include SisterSong’s Executive Director, Monica Simpson, actor and Founder and President of BLD PWR Kendrick Sampson, content creator Joseph Irvin, award-winning actor Clifton Powell, and recording artist Euro-Got-It. Additional roundtable participants may join.

This event is presented in partnership with the Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival, founded in 2019 to advance the College’s commitment to equality and social justice, and the Black Men’s Research Institute (BMRI), a leading initiative focused on the economic, social, cultural, and personal outcomes affecting Black men.
